Award-winning retirement village on Auckland’s North Shore
Facilities & Recreation
Beautiful, relaxing surroundings with resort like facilities
Take a moment to think about how you feel when you go on holiday. Now imagine feeling that way all the time. ‘Living in a resort’, ‘staying in a hotel’, ‘being on vacation every day ‘- these are words our residents use to describe what it’s like to live here. It’s no wonder that living in a beautiful environment can do wonders for your mental and emotional well-being. Who wouldn’t want to feel like they’re on vacation all the time?
Settlers Lifestyle Village delivers far more than you’d ever get from a standard residence. Here are just some of the things our residents enjoy every day.
"When I came back from the hospital two wonderful people in the village said – ‘Mary, we’re going to do your shopping for you, and they still do my shopping. I make a list and ring them when they’re going, and they get what I need."
- Mary

Butterfly House
With the recent setup of a Butterfly House, an exciting and inspiring project has been started. Breeding butterflies has become a passion for our community, with a beautiful and natural cycle of life being observed within the walls of our butterfly home. The Butterfly Association has donated caterpillars that thrive on the swan plant growing inside the butterfly house.
The cycle of life is an awe-inspiring thing to witness, and the interest and excitement generated by this project are truly remarkable. To raise awareness and preserve butterfly populations, Settlers donates to the Butterfly Association.
We walked in and went ‘wow’. There’s something really special about this place – it’s different, it’s like being at a hotel in surfers, you walk in and go ‘wow, this is lovely’.

There’s so much to do here. We had no intention of going into a lifestyle village. But once we saw what was here we changed our mind about it.
