When we drink alcohol, our liver doesn’t send the right signals to our pancreas to send out insulin. If we drink too much at a time, our blood sugars can spike and then drop suddenly, leading to hypos (hypoglycaemia) or feeling unwell.

The best thing about diabetes is the snacks. Eating regularly throughout the day helps to keep our blood sugars stable, so having delectable snacks lying around is a good idea.
